Baby Clothes and Bedding
Premie Clothes
Even if your multiples are born at full-term, most parents of multiples find that their babies wear premie clothing for the first month or two. Our recommendation is to only wash a few pieces of premie clothing to take to the hospital or have a family member or friend wash and bring some clothes to you at the hospital after the babies are born. Then leave the rest of the clothes with tags on and keep the receipts in case you don’t need them and want to return them.
Clothes to Avoid
- Collars for at least the first six months when babies don’t have necks and the collar gets in the way, especially during feeding time
- Snaps or zippers on the back which are just a pain to put on the babies!
- Baby slippers which don’t stay on anyway – use socks instead
- Baby bathrobes
